The Mat and Reformer Program combines the BASI Foundation Reformer repertoire and the Mat work teacher training program. It is still possible to pursue the Global comprehensive program at a later date should students wish.
This program follows our **NEW** Flex format consisting of four days (modules) delivered through a combination of in-studio sessions and pre-recorded lectures. The pre- recorded lectures are done at home in preparation for the studio days. In-studio modules include discussions, exercise analysis, and practice, while theoretical presentations are covered through online lectures available to view at your own pace.
Digital manuals are included in the price and can be accessed on the Portal. Printed manuals are available to purchase. There will be 4 in-studio days for learning the practical work over two weekends. Each of those practical days will be 6.5 hours of training, excluding breaks.
Students are required to log practice hours before they can take a final exam, the breakdown of which is: 90 hours personal practice, 90 hours of teaching, 45 hours of observation. After this, students book in a practical exam via BASI Pilates UK, where they will need to teach and demonstrate exercises. Once successfully completing all of these things, Graduates will be qualified to teach, and will receive a certificate that is valid globally and will qualify them to be insured by all insurance companies.
Enrollment is required at least two weeks prior to the course start date. Books and videos will be released two weeks before the course begins to allow students time to review the required materials before attending in-studio sessions.
Please note that the reason the price is in USD and not GBP is because the online content is accessed via the student portal on the BASI Pilates site, and therefore must be purchased through the portal instead of via BASI UK booking system. However, despite this, the course and all the support is run locally by BASI UK (headoffice in Wimbledon London) so please know you will be in good hands. Please contact BASI Pilates UK if you want to chat about this course. This will be the first time we are running this fantastic new format in the UK. Contact us on [email protected]
