BASI in BALI with a Pilates Anatomy Retreat

In late July we completed another successful Basi retreat in Ubud Bali. This year Pilates Anatomy was the subject. The 3-day course with BASI Faculty member Anthony Lett was a terrific success with teachers from Australia, South Africa, Singapore, Indonesia, England and South Korea joining the fun!

Somehow, being in such a stunning environment calms the mind and body; making us so much more receptive to new ideas and concepts. In addition, it strengthens the sense of camaraderie and fun. Many lifelong friendships were forged. Two group members managed a two-hour trek up Mt Batur, an active volcano 1700 meters above sea level, to watch the sunrise before class! Others rode elephants, ran from monkeys, watched traditional dances, visited local galleries, and surfed and all of us shared some delicious meals together. It was a truly wonderful 3 days.
